CORPORATE DAY AT MELTON MOWBRAY GOLF CLUB

FRIDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER 2010 is Corporate Day here at Melton Mowbray Golf Club. All members and visitors with a handicap are welcome to play. Start the day with a bacon roll and coffee at 11.15 am before the shotgun start at 12.30 pm. There is a three course meal and wine at 6.00 pm followed by the prize giving with an excellent prize table. The cost is £50 per player, £200 per team and receipts are provided for those businesses that require them. GREAT NEWS! - KIERAN FOSTER TO PLAY FOR ENGLAND

Melton Mowbray Golf Club Junior member Kieran Foster will play for the England Junior Team against Scotland on September 13th 2010. He has also been voted MELTON TIMES YOUNG SPORTSMAN OF THE YEAR 2010 AND has just won our Club Championship.
Kieran qualified to play for England on Monday 21st June by finishing ninth when competing in the National Finals of the England Schoolboys Championships, the top 12 competitors qualify to represent England.
The match against Scotland will be played at Fairhaven Golf Club which is near Blackpool.
